FastPac line for high-speed, versatile bulk bagging

Customer demand for faster, more-versatile bulk bagging has inspired Pacepacker Services to launch a new high-speed bagging line called FastPac. The company has chosen this year's PPMA exhibition to unveil the first of the machines in the FastPac range - an upgraded sack placer that can help boost the number of bags packed per minute by up to 20 per cent, offering a new top speed of 16-17bpm.

SKF offers new sensor for lubricant reservoirs

SKF is introducing the SKF ultrasonic sensor to improve fill-level monitoring on SKF and Lincoln branded pumps and reservoirs with lubricant capacities in excess of 5 litres (1.321 US gal). Developed for oil and grease applications, the sensor provides both low-level and full-level messages for optimum operation.

Yokogawa releases new UTAdvanced series controllers

Yokogawa Electric Corporation is releasing a number of new UTAdvanced series controllers. The new controllers include four DIN rail mounting type controllers and one 1/8 DIN panel type program controller. This is part of Yokogawa's ongoing effort to expand its controller business by satisfying market needs and giving customers a greater range of choices.

Schaeffler launches Halal and Kosher-certified bearing grease

Schaeffler UK is introducing a new rolling bearing grease that is certified for use in both Halal and Kosher food processing environments. The new FAG Arcanol FOOD2 rolling bearing grease is also registered to category H1 with the NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) and offers significantly improved performance compared with its predecessor, including reduced friction, better flow properties at low temperatures and improved wear protection, extending the scope of applications for the new grease.

Square profile linear guide offers adjustable clearance

Igus has extended its Q10 series square guide with the introduction of the drylin Q20. This new size, with a 20mm profile is said to be ideal for self-supporting and high load applications. The guide's rigid square profile ensures resistance against twisting, while supporting torque of up to 10Nm in all directions. The bearing clearance can be adjusted manually, allowing the running accuracy to be increased or decreased, depending on the application.
