Fully harnessed cables for heavy industrial applications

Molex is offering fully customisable cable assemblies and harnesses for use in harsh environments, such as those found in industrial automation and robotics applications. By combining its modular D-Sub mixed layout and Heavy Duty Connector families with Flamar cables, Molex cable assembly and harnessing service helps OEMs reduce costs, save time and cut materials wastage.

Fully harnessed cables for heavy industrial applications

Riccardo Comini, Director Business Development, Molex, says: "Molex technology can provide everything from a single connector to a fully realised solution. We connect the industrial automation eco-system together by providing ruggedly designed, engineered and constructed infrastructure solutions for harsh-duty manufacturing environments such as automotive, food and beverage, material handling and commercial vehicles."

Molex Heavy Duty Connectors are suitable for wherever connections are required for power, control and signal circuits and are UL/CSA-approved. They are rated to IP66/67 for industrial applications and IP69K (EN 60529) for applications where frequent washdowns are required, such as in the food processing industry. Suitable for power, signal, RF and pneumatics, Molex's D-Sub mixed layout, modular connectors accommodate a range of applications, feature up to IP69 sealing and are UL approved. In addition, the Molex Brad M12 product range, which includes Brad Power and Brad Ultra-Lock, MX-PTL, Micro-Change, Micro-Change CHT (Circular Hybrid Technology), and Industrial Ethernet interconnect products, complements the offering.

A comprehensive range of cables for sensors, measurement, controls, robotics, network and drives applications, manufactured and rigorously tested at Molex's Flamar facility in Italy, provide excellent performance, quality and durability for this industrial sector. Furthermore, custom-made hybrid cables, suitable for applications with low voltage and power conductors, together with coax data and transmission elements are suitable for space constrained applications and allow a faster installation than traditional individual elements.

Regardless the end application, Molex will provide industrial OEMs with fully tested cable assemblies and harness products at a cost-competitive price for a wide range of applications, stretching from robotics and automation to transport and logistics. Molex will supply not only the finished product but the expertise; customers need only define the overall features, then Molex, based on its fully comprehensive know-how will propose a system and guide the customer through the options, supplying then the finished product.
