New options for Marlin Stainless motors are a range of stainless steel gearboxes, a choice of mountings and a pharmaceutical quality polished finish. These options, which can be supplied in any permutation, are intended to extend the scope of applications in the industries that can be satisfied by Marlin motors, including food and drink, and pharmaceutical.
The stainless steel motors from Marlin Stainless, a division of Lafert Electric Motors, provide a cost-effective solution for enhancing hygiene, reducing expensive downtime and minimising motor replacement costs. They are smooth bodied, IP66 hose-down tolerant and IEC dimensioned to be straight replacements for existing AC motors, either as retrofits or OEM equipment.
The new options help develop the scope of opportunities for Marlin motors mechanically regarding drive-train and mounting, maximisation of hygiene and/or aesthetic appearance. The gearboxes, which have hollow shafts with life lubricated gears, are available with centre distances of 31, 42 and 61mm with ratios from 5:1 to 75:1. Torques range from 0.9Nm to 208Nm and options include gears with torque pins, food spec lubricants and various output shaft designs. Other adaptations can be offered upon request. A full range mounting arrangements, including SEW special flange and shaft compatible designs, is available. Polished Finishes can be to pharmaceutical standard 0.5RA.
