Safe thermal imaging fuels company growth
IRISS EMEA, manufacturer of industrial-grade, polymer infrared windows, has grown an impressive 60 per cent year on year and this trend looks set to continue as its export sales steadily soar.
Unlike all other infrared windows, IRISS windows are made from polymer not crystal. As a result they are shatterproof, resistant to UV light and humidity and can be cut to any size or shape. And these advantages are driving the global take-up of these products for safe, live inspection of mechanical and electrical systems.
IRISS technology was developed in the UK but the company's headquarters are now in the USA, its principle market. The company moved to its new, purpose-built 3,000 square metres facility in Florida in early April, substantially increasing both its R&D and manufacturing capacity.
The UK operation is now the central hub of the IRISS EMEA operation and, as its end of year report confirms, this region is making a significant contribution to the company's global success.
David Hinds, Sales Manager IRISS EMEA, says: "Our export quota is really looking good. The Middle East is proving very fruitful and we are continually opening up new markets, Slovenia and Bulgaria are the latest additions."
He adds: "An important growing market for us is the renewable energy sector, both at home and throughout EMEA. IRISS technology is a perfect fit for this industry as it has masses of equipment, both electrical and mechanical, whose reliable operation is essential to the cost efficiency of the process."
The company's commitment to research and development remains high, underpinning its continued growth. Indeed, IRISS has confirmed a brand new range of complementary windows products will be introduced throughout EMEA next month.
