Rugged stainless steel interlock switches
Fortress Interlocks is launching a new range of rugged stainless steel interlock switches for demanding applications such as those in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical processing industries. These new interlocks are also suitable for outdoor use. Manufactured from 316 stainless steel and modular in design, the amGardS40 range can be configured to suit many industrial applications.
The switches are supplied in enclosures sealed to IP69K, so they can be pressure washed at high temperatures; they also have a retention force of 10,000N – which is claimed to be the highest currently available on the market – and are therefore suitable for ensuring guard doors are held closed until machines and/or processes are in a safe condition. Each module is just 40mm wide for easy installation on 40mm guarding sections or in other areas where space is limited.
