National food and drink manufacturing conference 2013
The HSE's Agriculture and Food Sector and the Food and Drink Manufacture Health and Safety Forum are supporting the National food and drink manufacturing conference 2013, which takes place at the Oxford Belfry Hotel on 8/9 October 2013. Organised by IOSH, the event, Health and safety: refreshed, bottled and delivered, provides sector and legal updates and offers practical implementation session on the first day, and looks at culture and the workforce on the second day. Parts of the conference are aimed specifically at machinery and equipment designers and suppliers, and Pilz is one of the event sponsors.
Included in the programme will be updates from the Food and Drink Federation (FDF), the Manufacturing Sector of the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) and the IOSH Food and Drink Group, plus there will be ample networking opportunities. For the first time there will be a panel debate featuring representatives from the HSE, FDF and IOSH, and a legal speaker.
Key speakers for the conference will be Jim Mosely, the President of the Food and Drink Federation, Gerald Forlin QC, of Cornerstone Barristers, and Tim Marsh, the Managing Director of Ryder Marsh Safety Ltd.
