Beamex is to supply Beamex MC multifunction documenting calibrators and Beamex CMX Professional calibration software to the company operating the world's largest straw-burning power station.
Beamex has been contracted to supply its world-class integrated calibration system to EPR (Energy Power Resources), which operates the Elean Power Station – the world's largest straw-burning power station that generates 38MW from burning 200,000 tons of cereal straw every year. Beamex is proud to be part of this project to help create power for the UK from a renewable source.
The integrated calibration system includes the combination of Beamex MC multifunction documenting calibrators and Beamex CMX Professional calibration software, providing for the seamless and electronic flow of calibration data from calibration software to calibrator and back.
A seamless electronic flow of data minimises the error-prone requirement for handwritten data entry and accelerates the whole process, resulting in savings in time and cost. The system also documents all calibration results automatically.
In addition to the time and cost savings, other reasons for choosing Beamex MC calibrators and Beamex CMX calibration software were the capability to communicate with and calibrate Hart and Foundation Fieldbus transmitters, operate within a paperless environment, and be able to share the calibration results across a corporate network.
