Eldon has created single-item codes for its floor standing cabinets with transparent doors to help customers save time and money through simplified specification and order administration. This is another example of Eldon's aim to be "easy to do business with'.
Per Ulrik Eriksson, Eldon Product Manager, states: "The floor standing enclosures equipped with transparent doors are one of the preferred solutions for our customers in the industrial and building markets, who want to be able to view and better control the equipment installed inside the enclosure. The recurrent requests for this type of product configuration have led to the clear necessity of creating a single-item code. Instead of looking up separate codes for enclosure and door, verify corresponding dimensions and, of course, mount the door separately in their own workshops, our customers can order the necessary enclosure with pre-mounted transparent door, all with a single code."
The standard door, used in Eldon's MultiFlex and MultiK floor mounted enclosure ranges, can be easily replaced with transparent safety clear glass window version, which is a real advantage in specific applications and machine building, where easy access to all components is essential. Per Ulrik adds: "The Eldon see-through door option not only improves the versatility of our floor standing enclosures but also firmly demonstrates how we ceaselessly strive to develop highly durable and user-friendly solutions in order to meet all the market requirements but also be closer to our customers by caring about the little details."
Customers can specify this option and receive a mild steel floor standing enclosure with an Eldon DGC glazed door fitted with 4mm safety glass, a double-bit 3mm lock and door frame.
Alternatively, there is a stainless steel floor standing enclosure with a stainless steel door glazed with 4mm safety glass. The stainless steel is 2mm AISI 304 stainless steel or AISI 316 (on request), with a pre-grained finish of 240s (0.5 micron average).
Eldon's floor standing enclosures with transparent doors comply with IP55, NEMA 12, IK 10 and are suitable for control equipment due to the first level visual check of the components mounted inside, which can be done without opening the enclosure.
