Delta exhibits a strengthened portfolio at SPS Italia 2016

A comprehensive line of PLCs, AC motor drives, AC servo drives, industrial Ethernet switches, machine vision systems, industrial PCs and panel PCs, HMIs, remote I/Os, smart sensors and meters will be featured along Delta's integrated automation systems and products.

Highlights from Delta's exhibition include a new compact AC motor drives MH300 and MS300 Series which offers optimised space utilisation with up to 40 per cent size reduction versus their predecessors and support open/closed loop control for both IM and PM motors. They also possess higher capabilities through built-in PLC, built-in brake choppers, integrated STO and the support of various fieldbus protocols. The high-speed models are available with up to 2000Hz and 1500Hz output frequency. Ease-of-installation and operation are also key advantages of these innovative motor drives which are suitable for water pump and HVAC applications.

Visitors at Delta's booth at SPS Italia 2016 will experience a live demo of the Industrial Internet & Cloud Solution which integrates the company's newly launched Industrial 3G Cloud Router DX-2100 Series and MS300 series compact AC motor drive to enable real-time remote monitoring and control of industrial processes. This system architecture contributes to higher productivity and flexibility in a wide range of industrial processes as it is an element in the nascent smart manufacturing concept.

The Multiple Water Pumps Control Solution is suitable for water pumps in HVAC systems, water treatment, and other applications that require multiple pump control. It executes pump management with several control modes, such as pressure, temperature or constant level, and provides a configurable hardware and software system to control up to four pumps. This platform is also compatible with the aforementioned 3G router and internet cloud offering for real-time remote monitoring and control and also with Windows, Android, and iOS systems for user convenience.

Delta will also unveil its PC-Based CNC Solution for thermal cutting, glass cutting and woodworking process applications. The system integrates the company's own high-performance PC-based Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) MH1 Series which features highly efficient multi-axis control (up to 64 axes via EtherCAT) to simplify system architecture, reduce system construction cost, and increase operational efficiency for customers. The MH1 offers optimised operating efficiency and can help build a complete PC-based CNC system when aligned with Delta's AC servo drives and servo motors.

The Food Packaging Solution realises high-speed packaging efficiency with remarkable quality for food and beverage packaging machines. This system adopts Delta's mid-range PLC AH500 Series with motion control modules as main controller to execute stable, integrated multi-task control among packaging processes. In addition, Delta's machine vision system integrated in this platform offers highly accurate inspection on finished goods to ensure product quality.

Delta's Elevator Solution can realise up to 40 per cent energy savings in elevator systems through power regeneration performed by the Power Regenerative Unit REG2000 Series. The elevator system also delivers smooth rides and door open/close with Delta's Elevator Drive ED Series and Door Control Drive VFD-DD Series.

Power Quality Solutions offers enhanced power factor and fast compensation of harmonics, reactive power and unbalanced loads with the Active Power Filter APF2000 Series, the Static Var Generator SVG Series and the Active Front End AFE2000 Series.
