Corrosion resistant roller chain for humid environments

Iwis introduced a range of corrosion-resistant roller chains at this year's Hannover Fair. The corrosion resistant chains have, the company says, an exceptional fatigue and a high breaking strength. The CR chains from Iwis have an outstanding resistance to chemicals and a higher corrosion resistance than plated or coated chains. In combination with a lubrication tailored to the particular application, CR chains are an excellent choice if durability is an issue.

Compared to stainless steel chains, the CR chains have a 50 percent higher fatigue life and 30 percent higher breaking strength. Further benefits are a high wear resistance and chain rigidity. Their small size compared to stainless steel chains saves space and reduces the costs of the chain. Corrosion-resistant roller chains from Iwis are available as types L85 CR, M106 CR, M127 CR and as conveyor chains with attachments.

Corrosion-resistant roller chains (CR chains) are used in numerous applications, for example in food and beverage production machines, packaging machines, dairy processing machines, industrial cleaning plants, as well as in areas in which damp or corrosive environmental conditions prevail, such as sewage works and composting plants.
