Copa-Data has opened a UK office, providing localised technical support and sales for its HMI/SCADA system zenOn. Copa-Data UK Ltd will support zenOn from Cheshire under the management of experienced SCADA veteran Duncan Fletcher.
Copa-Data CEO Thomas Punzenberger is optimistic about the future, saying: "In recent years, zenOn SCADA and HMI sales have grown by 30 per cent internationally. Mr Fletcher's extensive knowledge and experience will underpin Copa-Data UK, providing reliable support for customers and a solid base for growth in Britain."
Managing Director Duncan Fletcher is excited to be joining Copa-Data, commenting: "Copa-Data UK will build on existing high-profile applications, providing a solid base for local technical support and sales.
"There are very important reasons why I think customers will look at zenOn: firstly zenOn is independent software - so you only buy what you need and are not tied in to a big automation provider; secondly, Copa-Data is committed to staying ahead of the pack with third-party support and innovative features that provide tangible benefits to customers."
Duncan Fletcher has been involved in the industrial automation and controls market for over 25 years, including many years managing projects and commissioning work as a customer in the oil refining and pulp and paper industries. He also has around five years' experience as a system integrator in a number of diverse industries from food and beverage to cable manufacture and chemical processing and supply.
Having worked previously for Pantek Ltd for approximately four years as Technical Director, Fletcher left to form his own company involved in the supply, development and implementation of enterprise-wide data management systems
Copa-Data UK has already begun trading and supporting customers in the UK. This follows the recent opening of Copa-Data offices in India and the USA. In June 2007 the Company celebrated its 20th anniversary with the launch of zenOn 6.21, the first SCADA/HMI software to be certified for Windows Vista.
