Choice of drylin SHT options for use in extreme environments
igus offers a broad choice of options for its drylin SHT stainless steel leadscrew module, and the company has just produced a short video to show these. Made of 304 grade stainless steel, also known as V2A, the drylin SHT-SS is suitable for use in the food and beverage industry, as well as high temperature applications.
Designers can configure the leadscrew module using the standard online drylin SHT tool and order a virtually custom assembly for delivery, ready for installation. Like all igus products, the drylin SHT-SS module is self-lubricating and therefore requires no maintenance. A wide range of stroke lengths is available, as well as drive options.
The drylin SHT-SS module is available in four different installation sizes (shaft diameters) of 8, 12, 20 and 30mm. Choose between the self-locking trapezoidal thread and no-locking, high-speed high helix thread; each is available in pitches of 2 to 100mm with right-hand, left-hand or reverse threads. In addition to the all-rounder iglidur J bearing material, there is iglidur X, which is suitable for applications up to 200degC and resistant to chemical cleaning. For the food and pharma industries, choose the FDA-approved material, iglidur A180.
