Industrial IT provider, SolutionsPT and its system integrator partner, NeoDyne, have both been honoured by industry giant, Automation Control Products (ACP). SolutionsPT, based in Cheadle, has been named as ACP's International Partner of the Year and NeoDyne, of Cork, Ireland, has received the International Integrator of the Year award.

Lift and Reseal campaign gains momentum

The Lift and Reseal initiative from tesa is picking up speed, with some of the UK's leading food manufacturers in talks with the company about the benefits of its dynamic resealing tape. Working closely with packaging and procurement specialists, the tesacohesion team, with its all-embracing approach to customer service and process improvement, has developed an efficient in-line application called Lift & Reseal, which is already being used by one of the country's foremost suppliers of snacking products.

Standard pricing for Rittal stainless steel cooling units

Rittal now have standard pricing for the stainless steel variants of their cooling units, including those from the TopTherm Generation Blue e range. A selection of wall-mounted cooling units, with nominal outputs in the range 300-1500W and rated operating voltages of 230V AC and 400V AC, are now also available from stock.

More power for the geared motor

At Drinktec 2013, Danfoss will introduce a gearbox extension to its VLT FlexConcept. The option is simply plugged in and increases the available torque of the VLT OneGearDrive to 1000Nm, which, for example, is suitable for specific haulage applications. The ISD 500 Series servo drives, which are specifically designed for applications in the food, beverage and packaging industries, will also be presented.

National food and drink manufacturing conference 2013

The HSE's Agriculture and Food Sector and the Food and Drink Manufacture Health and Safety Forum are supporting the National food and drink manufacturing conference 2013, which takes place at the Oxford Belfry Hotel on 8/9 October 2013. Organised by IOSH, the event, Health and safety: refreshed, bottled and delivered, provides sector and legal updates and offers practical implementation session on the first day, and looks at culture and the workforce on the second day. Parts of the conference are aimed specifically at machinery and equipment designers and suppliers, and Pilz is one of the event sponsors.

Bürkert reports excellent results from Total expo

The Total Processing & Packaging exhibition 2013, held in June at the NEC was a great success for Bürkert, with the sales team seeing a large number of industry professionals attending the stand with specific inquiries. With over 200 product or complete system inquiries from companies including Kraft Foods, PepsiCo and AstraZeneca, Bürkert is confident that the mix of innovative process valves, process control equipment and sensors it had on show at the exhibition was the right one to generate interest; especially for process engineers, designers and maintenance professionals looking for specific process options.
