MTC installs Trumpf TruPrint 3000 metal AM system

A TruPrint 3000 metal additive manufacturing (AM) system from Trumpf has been acquired by the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC). Installed within the MTC's National Centre of Additive Manufacturing (NCAM), this advanced machine, which is based on laser metal fusion (LMF) technology, forms a key part of the NCAM capability.

Emerson has completed the purchase of Intelligent Platforms, a division of General Electric. The addition of Intelligent Platforms programmable logic controller (PLC) technologies will enable Emerson, a global leader in automation for process and industrial customers, to expand its capabilities in machine control and discrete applications and will provide its customers broader control and management of their operations.

Netherlands-based Rubix Haarlem, a specialist provider of more than 400,000 MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) products to industrial and maintenance customers from all sectors, has become an NSK Certified AIP Service Branch. An intensive qualification process was concluded with a series of end user visits by teams from both NSK and Rubix Haarlem.

The first company in the world to achieve the newly created NSK Certified Workshop status is DELBA Electrical, a rebuilder and repairer of motors and generators based in South Africa. A comprehensive audit and in-depth training programmes formed part of the intensive process, which now means that DELBA Electrical is officially utilising best-in-class standards for the fitting and application of NSK products.
