SKF bearing calculator now in KISSsoft's gearbox design software

SKF and the Swiss gearbox design software developer, KISSsoft, have agreed to incorporate SKF's bearing calculation software within KISSsoft's software. Engineers will therefore have a seamless experience when working on a new gearbox. They will be able to make appropriate bearing choices for their machine designs based on the newest bearing technologies. The latest SKF bearing data will be made available to KISSsoft users via SKF's cloud-based services. Results are all displayed in a concise engineering report format available through the KISSsoft software.

The free seminar programme at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2019 has been extended with further sessions addressing the latest advances in Industry 4.0, advanced manufacturing and materials. With 41 sessions running in two lecture theatres over all three days of the show, the 2019 programme is the most comprehensive ever offered and the chance to gain insight at the very highest level into many of the issues facing industry today. All sessions are completely free to attend and open to all visitors to the show.

igus has released a short video that highlights the benefits of its FDA and EU 10/2011-approved bearings for use in the food and beverage industry. The policy for food hygiene is clearly defined by the standards of the US and European regulators. At igus, the "˜food grade' products are produced in blue, and are therefore easy to identify.
