Biggest export year ever for R. A. Rodriguez
Precision engineering component supplier R. A. Rodriguez has confirmed that in a tough trading year it has maintained turnover at the record levels reported at the close of 2011. Two factors in particular have been instrumental in this performance. The first is the export sale of power transmission components. For two years in a row the company secured increased turnover of 25 per cent in its overseas markets. This year that figure has risen to 30 per cent; the company's biggest export quota ever.
Automation products and systems is another factor. This new product sector for R. A. Rodriguez delivered a very good return in 2012 and prospects are even brighter for 2013. With the groundwork completed and a dedicated product manager at the helm, R. A. Rodriguez is anticipating significant Universal Robot and IEF Werner linear motion sales.
MD Peter Williamson confirmed: "What we have in the pipeline in this field will certainly bear fruit in the next financial year. Our creation of a specific product group for automation is certainly paying dividends as UK manufacturers seek greater productivity and assured quality through process automation."
