Application specific RFID heads
Turck Banner has enhanced its BL ident RFID system with application-specific combined heads and data carriers to meet the needs of the meat industry. A special tag for high-temperature applications completes the program.
The new TNSLR-Q42TWD combined head with associated tag was developed especially for applications in wet environments with an increased range-requirement, where UHF technology doesn't work. In connection with Turck's 12mm data carriers, maximum distances of 35mm can be realised. So now in the mean industry the technology enables read-write processes for the reliable identification of meat hooks during the operation of conveyor belts.
Turck has also equipped the BL ident RFID system with robust, IP68, high temperature proof tags for special applications. The data memories of the type TW-Q51-HT-B128 are suitable for ambient temperatures of -25 up to 85°C. The tag itself can operate in temperatures from -55 to 240degC. The tags have a capacity of 128 Bytes from which 112 Bytes can be used freely as a memory for user data.
