Ondrives slims down spur offset gearboxes

Ondrives has introduced a slimline version of its spur offset gearboxes. Managing Director Ben Hinchliffe says: "These units have been designed for those applications where a smaller space envelope means a slimmer unit must be used."

Ondrives developed this product in response to customer demand for ever smaller gear reducer units within the spur gearbox range. They are, on average, 15% slimmer than their standard counterparts offering exactly the same torques, efficiencies and speeds as their bulkier cousins, making them the ideal choice for those applications that need optimum output in a smaller unit. This has been achieved by the smaller units having a flush bore output and the larger sizes being bore input instead of shaft input.

All are made in-house by Ondrives using the latest CNC technology in a purpose built environment that has received recent heavy investment. Sales Manager, Barbara Fisher comments: "We have made these investments in the latest CNC machinery as we believe it gives Ondrives the edge over our competitors, ensuring we meet those just-in-time requirements that all customers seem to need these days as well as offering the highest quality product for a reasonable price." Specials are quickly quoted for where required and modifications easily incorporated into standard designs.
